Rask has played a great game. Gotta give credit.

Between the posts and Rask, man, Pens can't buy a goal! They should have about 6 or 7. Gotta hand it to Rask and the Bruins. The fat lady is warming up and getting ready to sing ...

Good game for the Bruins. It was worth waiting 22 years for the re-match. Hard to drop the home opener in a shutout. We aren't done, put that fork down. Go Pens!

Did you ever wonder why there are no dead penguins on the ice in Antarctica ? where do they go ?

Wonder no more ! ! !

It is a known fact that the penguin is a very ritualistic bird which lives an extremely ordered and complex life.
The penguin is very committed to its family and will mate for life, as well as maintaining a form of compassionate contact with its offspring throughout its life.

If a penguin is found dead on the ice surface, other members of the family and social circle have been known to dig holes in the ice, using their vestigial wings and beaks, until the hole is deep enough for the dead bird to be rolled into and buried.

The male penguins then gather in a circle around the fresh grave and sing:
?Freeze a jolly good fellow...Freeze a jolly good fellow.?

Then they kick him in the ice hole. :D

You are never in trouble in the playoffs until you lose in your own rink....by that measure, the Pens are in trouble.
If they also lose tonight, you can start digging that hole at centre ice and singing the "Freeze song"
.

If you are Canadian, you aren't allowed to "forget" about hockey games. ;)

Look at my name. :usa2: I guess I'm allowed at least one free pass. And the way it's going I kinda wish I just read about it tomorrow. :faint2:

I knew that, i was just pointing out the difference between being Canadian and not being Canadian.... :)

Sort of like a ham and egg breakfast; the chicken contributes, but the pig is all in!

The Penguins have had two playoff opponents who battled well, but were fundamentally out of their weight class.
The Bruins aren't, and the Penguins simply do not match up well against them.
I would have been surprised if the Bruins did not take this series, but I never expected that they might be in a position to sweep. Still don't see it.

Now we see how much character the Pens have.
Split in Boston and the Fat Lady is on hold!

However it does go, realistically, who is going to track down Chicago?:eek:

Re: Pens vs Bruins

The Pens are getting too emotional at times which costs them games. If you remember last years series vs the Flyers, you know what I mean.

Re: Pens vs Bruins

I agree on the emotional part. And it isn't over yet. Just not used to them losing 2 in a row. I am now thinking it is a 7 game series, either way. These teams do match up well, defense this series is going to Boston. Rask has been great between the pipes, Vokoun and Fluery, not so much (the haven't been horrible, just not excellent ... Most of the goals I saw scored were tough to defend given the defense in front of them).

Pens have to do better in Boston!

Would have been better than giving up 4 goals in the first, don't you think?

I can't watch the games, because I work at that time, but how bad did the Pens look like night? They didn't look awful on Saturday, so I have some hope. But to lose the first 2 games at home? Yikes this is a disaster! I'll hope for a "comeback for the ages!" ;)
