Re: Peep Holes

You can use 2" foam insulation board or 2 part foam available from many suppliers.....however, you need to find out if the water did any damage and how it got there. You might have more damage as you dig deeper. Go slow.

Look what i found with pics

Look what i found with pics

This what i have found after looking at water coming out of screw hole, the foam is all soak, and i can see just from that square i cut that the wood as black spot on it , but now would any kind of foam will do the trick or it as to be floating foam , the boat looks like it as foam from one end to the other. Today i am removing the fiberglass on top of the wood and taking the plywood. I will post picks on the way .

Search this forum for stringer, transom & deck replacement threads. Read them. You'll find more than you'll have time to read. Fun with Fiberglass!!

Re: How to Glue the Transom

That's what I used.
Some would lay resin on both sides that are to be joined together and 1 layer of 1.5 oz matt in between and then clamp together.

Re: How to Glue the Transom

thanks , but witch one will hold better , do you think PL is better since it is wood compressing each other, but they say that with the resin etc.. will prevent water getting in between the ply. And i am using 5/8 outdoor wood should be ok with that i guess.
