All the screws on my pedestal seat base pulled out from the fiberglass deck. I wanted to replace with bolt and nut, but can not get to the underneath. Suggestions on the best way to repair this?

You could install a 6 lnch inspection plate near enough to the pedestal so it's possible to reach the under side..

Ayuh,..... Use a hole saw to cut a hole dead center of the base, just big enough to get yer hand in there,....

Once the seat is mounted, the hole disappears,.....

I didnt want any holes at all in my deck so this is what I did. I cut a 3/4 piece of plywood as big as would fit in my helmet. Drilled holes for pedestal and inserted stainless t nuts. I did use a router to carve a pocket so the nuts sat flush. I then used a bit of foil tape over the back side of the t nuts to seal from resin then I glued the wood down with resin mixed with chopped glass in it. Let cure. Then I took long bolts, waxed them and put in the tnuts and layed resin/glass over the top bonding to deck. It's a way to put pedestal down and spread the load and not make places for water to get under deck. I have picks In my post 1974 reinell cuddy restore

I thought about this approach as well but I don't think my hand would fit through the pedestal base. ... But a young apprentice could do it!

If your floor has a good solid wood base there are items that you can install to make threaded holes fo your base. Cant think of the name for the life of me but bought them thru McMaster Carr industrial supply. ( great folks to deal with) it is a steel insert with a course wood thread around the outside that gets threaded into the wood. There is a machine thread in the center that bolts can be threaded in and out. I used them on my Islander rebuild, the od was a 5/8" dia course wood thread that threaded into my plywood floor, then I used 3/8" bolts to hold base of pedistall. Cool part was I installed these in numerous places on the floo so my seats could be positioned in various places. Mine have been in for 7 years with O issues. My neighbor weighs 325 lbs and they hold him with O issues! They go by the machine thread size, from a #10 up to a 1/2" I believe. Not expensive and easy to use as long as your floor is solid. Once installed, I had to look closely to find them in my brown carpet when I wanted to change the seat location. Damn still cant recall the name...sucks to get old!!

The ball will get some air in it as the fuel passes thru, just the nature of the beast, just like water and drain lines. When the motor starts to bog and squeezing the ball brings it back life, sure sign of fuel delivery issues

I would check the shavings, if good, fill the existing holes with epoxy and wax the screws and install, then go boating

Or index the base

If you want washers and nuts, there is most likely foam you would have to contend with

Those toggle bolts with the plastic zips ..... we get ours thru Hilti but I know there are other mfg's. They are good wall anchors and nice thing is screws can be removed and anchor dont fall
