Peak RPM for Johnson 140

Hello,<br /><br />I have a Johnson 140TL78C and was wondering what is a good peak RPM I should run on top end for that motor? Is there a common suggested peak RPM for Johnson 140s?<br /><br />Thanks,<br /><br />Tcorum

5000-5500 look at the data plate on the motor on the side of the mounting bracket. It is usually listed there along with the model # and serial #.<br /><br />Bob

I believe the V4 loopers are supposed to be propped to reach 5000-6000 at WOT with higher being better within the range. If it was me I wouldn't run it that high routinely.<br /><br />Richard

Richard...he is talking crossflow motor...5000-5500...just a Thought
