I just found PartsVu and was wondering if anyone has purchased parts from them? I typically get parts from houses that's been around a long time but unfortunately with the cost of everything going through the roof, I have to be thrifty whenever possible. I always take an evening and search the net to compare prices, especially if it's a larger order. I also try and buy OEM only, so all the more reasons to find the best prices.

I did a little research on PVU and didn't find a ton of reviews.Their reputation appears to be OK, but anyone can spoof reviews these days. I want to see reviews from people like this forum has. All of us are boat owners and know the sting of maintenance! I rely heavily on personal reviews (like Amazon's reviews for example - excellent).

The biggest complaint I've found on PVU seems to be shipping time and returns. Their parts prices are pretty good (almost too good in some cases) so that's why I'm asking. I always try and investigate any new place I might buy from. You can never be too careful these days.

So what's your opinion on them? Go for it or RUN FOREST RUN?

Thanks,

When n ever I buy parts, one of the first things I look at, is there return policies. What good is a cheap price if your stuck with the wrong or a faulty part ! Most of the time I use a local dealer to order parts thru, yep it might cost a few bucks more, but I also get great tips and tricks to use when installing parts or trouble shooting an issue! As a boat owner, you will learn that saving a few bucks can cost you a whole lot more in the long run when issues occur. Anyone into boating as a cheap hobby, better think again..

I have bought not boat parts but outdoor power equipment from them. Legit BUT prices can be higher than actual manufacturers suggested retail; I found this with Echo, Toro & Briggs & Stratton parts. Check the actual manufacturer website first!

So far they seem to be one of the better sources of Yamaha parts short of buying directly from Yamaha. There's only one Yamaha marine dealer reasonably close to me; if I need it quickly then I go to them otherwise I order from PartsVu.

hey fellow,
I purchased Dexter Grease / oil from them for my vault wheel hubs, and got what I ordered correctly. I also plan to purchase my service kit from them for my 2009 Yamaha 150 4 stroke motor.
