parts ID

[Part-time]

I have a few boxes of parts and some of them I have no idea what they are...
Some others I'm just curious as to what year they might be from.

Can anybody tell me what motor this fits?



And then I have these that I don't even know what they are...




I'd hate to scrap parts that may be hard to find and stuff that could be usefull for someone but I REALLY have to clean out my shed.


I also have a couple of prop shafts but have no idea what motor they are from or how to find out.
I have two big boxes full of parts like these that I know are marine but no clue as to what they fit.

But,...
I can tell ya the price of scrap is Up,....
Got $119.00 the other day, for what I thought was a tiny load of Jewels.......

Are the last 3 pics some kind of electronic ignition system and a water pump casing? No idea, but I'm happy to be subscribed to find out

I have a pile of scrap-in-a-box waiting for the recycler too. Sadly it's mostly just steel which is pretty worthless.

Out of the last 3 pics two are some kind of electric magnet, maybe the electric shift for an OMC???
The last pic have no idea.

That large round thing looks like the part that goes into the swivel bearing on an OMC Stringer. The water pump casing sits on top of it in on the flat part.

I'm going to guess the prop shaft it is from a Stringer too, but I'm not certain. Maybe you have some parts to an old electric-shift Stringer. The electric magnet (as you said) could very well be the shift solenoid (I've never actually seen one).

I was thinking the same thing ... but haven't seen one either.

The big round one with the 4 bolt holes is definitely the plate that joins the Stringer upper gear case to the lower at the swivel bearing. Just looked at my impeller replacement pics & I have the same thing. More I think about the electro magnet I bet it'll slide right on that prop shaft behind or in front of the clutch dogs. You're missing some gears and springs, but I bet that's the solenoid that would engage the gears in one direction or the other. There should be 2 if I remember correctly.
