Part of oil injection pump is broken

On this Mariner 40hp oil injected motor part of the oil pump case is broken off and exposed and it leaks some oil out of it. Is this a problem or is it fine like this? I’m definitely not dropping 300 bucks on a new one. I’ll delete the oil injection at that point.

Stop using it and fix it. Either bypass it or replace it

Find a good used pull on ebay for cheaper. That's what I did like 10+ years ago. Been working perfectly since.

I think the oil pump is shot in general. Take a look at this video. I’m pretty sure that thing is supposed to be constantly spinning. Don’t worry I had it running on 50:1. I bypassed the pump and did this. I can just loop the hose back into the pump like in this photo right?
