My power pack went on my 1989 110 hp evinrude. I took off the power pack and part number was 583773. I bought one off ebay and the part number is 584027. I called the guy before i bought it. He said that it would work on my motor. It did not. The motor did not start and sounded like the spark was all messed up. And I know that the wires were hooked up right. My question is that if anyone knows if he was right, or what motor the power pack with the other part number was from. Also, since I tried to start the motor with the wrong power pack, could that hurt the motor or any other part? Thanks for the help.
