Part number help needed

I have a model #50ELPT-4S Mercury outboard that I need to purchase some parts for.
The problem is that the tag that shows my serial number is in very bad shape and I can't get a good read on the entire serial number.
Here is what I can make out: DG---422. There are numbers between the DG and at least one number after the 422. But unfortunately the rest of the numbers have been worn away from years of use.
Under the model number, (50ELPT-4S) I see the number 2000. That leads me to believe that I have a model year 2000, motor.
I need to purchase a thermostat, thermostat gasket and water pump impeller or water pump kit for this motor.
If anyone can tell me the correct part numbers for these items it would be greatly appreciated. I'm new to working on outboards so I don't want to order the wrong parts.
Also, this outboard does have the Bigfoot lower unit. Just in case that makes a difference.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Dave

Your serial number will start off with a 0G vs DG.... So more of an 0G??422? as there are 8 in a full serial number.

Somewhere on one of the welch plugs on the engine block may be a plug with the serial number stamped into it as seen in the following link for an example, https://www.perfprotech.com/blog/ma...ry-marine-outboard-motor-serial-number-number

As long as the engine is not EFI ?? 'Then one of the following would fall into your serial number range or model numbers going off of your year model of 2000.

2000 Mercury Outboard Model Numbers For,
50 [ELPT/BF 4]

50 BIGFOOT (4-STROKE)

50 BIGFOOT (4-STROKE) - 0G231123 THRU 0G760299

50 BIGFOOT (4-STROKE) - 0G760300 THRU 0T178499

50 BIGFOOT (4-STROKE) - 0P017000 THRU 0P094499

50 BIGFOOT (4-STROKE) - 9944807 THRU 0P016999 ..,. https://www.mercruiserparts.com/50-bigfoot-4-stroke

Sometimes if you search out online "impeller kit" using all the info you know about your engine, you'll have decent luck at finding/buying a true Mercury impeller kit vs buying all the needed parts individually when you're looking over say the Gearhousing, Driveshaft - 2.31:1 Gear Ratio - Bigfoot section of a parts diagram of your engine model. See items 24- 34ish for another example.

Thermostat see item numbers 15 and 16, https://www.mercruiserparts.com/bam/subassembly/28100/2853/120
