Hello, first time trying to change zincs on a boat and trying to figure out what I am looking at.

The zinc I believe is on the other side but I’m not sure what this orange part is and how to get it and the zinc off. Any ideas?

Welcome to iboats

First of all what is the Picture of? There is not Context as to location. The Orange thing, kind of looks like a Plastic Hub of a busted 3 blade Prop...

I have never seen a zinc shaped like that and they are not supposed to be painted over . The piece you're trying to take off is not part of any zinc set-up that I'm aware of. Looks like some sort of paddle wheel speed sending unit and the " zinc " is some sort of transducer.

Looks like a bow thruster and the blades are broken
That's exactly what it is.

I'd be less worried about a zinc here and more concerned with where the hell all the blades went.
