Just splashed a new to us Regal 35 Sport Coupe. Not new to boating but new to Regal. On the main electrical panel directly under the line 2 switch is a parallel switch. Either line 2 is on or the parallel switch is on. What is the purpose of the parallel switch? Thanks for any help.

Battery. The boat has at least two, and when selected, groups them (parallel, 12v) together for starting. It’s not needed for starting unless batteries have been run down. For general use, don’t engage parallel.

yes. Not the switch at the helm which you are referring to I think. In the breaker compartment below, it has 4 main breakers on the 120v side top left is line 1 and top right is line 2. Below line 1 is the generator breaker and below line 2 it says “parallel”. After looking it over in more detail, I’m guessing the “parallel “ is just basically a line 2 when not hooked to shire power and running the genny?

Got it, sorry. I looked at Regal’s web and the manual doesn’t seem to include a panel with line 1 and 2 references. Suggest looking at their web. The manual is posted and nicely detailed, and/or post a picture. Manual number 784026, December 2013.

Thanks and yes, I have the manual and didn’t see mention in there. I’ll look through their website, but not optimistic it’s there either. After messing with it I’m fairly certain it is just line 2 when using the genny. Thanks for your help.
