Painting numbers on PVC

Are there any paints available at the hardware store that will do a pretty decent job of putting registration numbers on a PVC inflatable?

I know there are kits specifically for this, but all that stuff is 2 weeks shipping, or a 3 hour round trip drive to West Marine to find out it has to be ordered in....

Krylon maybe?

After getting a tip on this forum I bought a stencil kit and a fat tip sharpie - worked great but needs touch ups every so often.

After doing some research, I went with the West Marine kit. Still waiting for the paperwork (It's a lengthy process) but It looks sharp & should be maintenance free.

My boat was done long before I got it as in around 1992, and is still readable today. I couldn't tell you what they used though.

The tip I will offer is if you need to have the 3x3 stickers for registration is get the pockets. They will keep you from losing stickers, which costs time and money to replace.
