Hi I'm new to this forum, but I see there are a lot of experienced folks here. Lots of knowledge. I am refurbishing a 27 year old, 16 ft Sea Nymph fishing boat. I am at the point where I want to re-paint the interor aluminum before putting the carpeting down. It is already painted a very light grey. I want to come close to the same color which should not be a problem, but I am at a loss as to how to paint it. I have read that just spray can as would work and I have also seen where it can be brushed. I just want a nice job with out any brush maks or over spray areas. Any and all help here would be appreciated. Thanks....Dennis

Re: Painting aluminum interior

Welcome to iboats!

Do a search for "roll and tip" and I bet that will answer the problems. You roll on the paint and use a brush to level out bubbles.

The results are in the prep. No need to strip the old paint ....just scuff it up.
