My question is this:

After applying the final coat of paint to the boat, how long do you wait to flip her back over and lay her back on the trailer?

Couple of days?

Week?

I am not sure so I thought I would ask.

Pics will follow shortly, on 1978 CC starcraft rebuilt

Thanks

I used the following procedure:

stripped to bare metal, sanded with 80 grit, degreased, final wipe, added 2 coats of aluma protect (pettit) primer. The 1st coat was placed on, waited an 1 hour, placed on second coat. Let dry another 1 hr then applied 1st coat of the Pettit Shipendec 3306 dull dead grass. The paint was thinned at a ratio of 6 to 1. Going to lightly scotch bright tonight and apply second coat first thing in the morning. We are going to go to 7-1 with tomorrows mixture.

The guy helping me paint the boat works at an autobody shop and he paints there. He said that two coats of the paint should be sufficient.

Thanks for the response in advance
