Yamaha ( purchased recently ) OBs new too me coming from IOs
Motor is a OX 66
250 Hp
2 stroke
Always have water connected when starting engine

Last week changed external fuel filer ( one with view bowl )
New yamaha primary fuel filter ( dirty )
primed both bowls with fuel
engine fired right up ,
During week started multiple times idling, few minutes , shutting off
yesterday idled minute then heard engine sputering , died ,
engine cranking not firing or even trying too start ?
Maybe I hit safety clip , NOPE
1/4 tank fuel
Removed primary filter Possibly not sitting correctly , Seemed OK
fuel in both bowls , not firing ( hitting fuses later ) also air flow sensor , will remove and clean - fuel pump ?

Previous owner showed me recent invoice shop worked on and cleaned VST

Noticed when I pump primer bowl I dont see fuel entering ? , for kicks removed hose just before primary filter , pumped away , should I see some fuel coming thru hose ? smell it but dont see it coming thru ?
Vent block ?
Possibly something right in front of me , so simple

Confirm that all hose clamps are tight on fuel line between the primer bulb and it's not sucking air. Check clamps on fuel filter/water seperator if you have one and the fuel tank/fuel switch. Also try pumping the bulb with the gas cap removed. You should have gas flowing as you prime the bulb.

FIXED - thanks for getting back , Had two things going on .
crazy as I indicated earlier engine ran multiple days few minutes each day All of sudden died , I did get hand pump pumping fuel , Think O ring on top portion of fuel seperator was not sitting properly allowing air , Opened fuel tank filler ,
But think the main issue was key switch , wiring , was loose ,
soon as I we tightened fired up
Removed and cleaned O2 sensor
Slowly learning about this new engine too me

thanks
