Hi, Need advice on overheating Mercruiser 350 5.7l 260hp. The gauge is showing 180. The motor is a reman. marine engine from a reputable shop. The mechanic has replaced impeller (old one was still good). The manifolds, risers, and gaskets are new. The thermostat housing is new. The nylon balls on the bypass are good (yet old). Hoses are good. Timing was set back from 8 to 4(on advice of engine shop). Given it's a reman engine, is it possible 180 is ok to operate at. The thermosta is a 140-143 oem thermostat. Any advice would be appreciated. Althouth not related to cooling, the coil, pluds and distributer are also new....

ANy advice would sure be appreciated. Thanks,
