i installed new impeller, pulled thermostat, no leaks from water pump. is my impeller housing installed wrong? its installed with the in and out going hoses horizontal, somewhere in the mix i might have got things mixed up. should the housing inlets be up right for better circulation? and which hose should go where should the inlet be on the top or bottom?

Its difficult to help you when we have no idea what you are talking about. Do you have a mercruiser or OMC? Alpha or Bravo drive mercruiser? 1978 or 1998? 5.7ltr or 7.4ltr? You get the idea, come back with more info so we can help you.

You should be able to go to the "Adults Only" section and download the manual for your engine. There will be a section with instructions & pictures for your model.
