Overheat warning system for Mark 30E ??????

I'm wondering, after having my beloved 57' Mark 30E (12v) burn up, if anyone makes some sort of overheat warning system (thermal sensor?) to fit these motors?

I don't think that anyone builds one that would be a direct fit, you might be able to drill the hole on top of the block out and retap it to lager size to put a temp sensor in but if it were mine I would us the hole to put a w/pressure gauge in as thats what it was intended for
