I tow 4200lbs (yes, I had it weighed) bowrider with my 4.6l F-150. I can tow with od on much of the time if the land is fairly flat. If I see the converter start lockin/unlocing or know that hills are coming, I lock OD out. 75k miles and no issues so far. I do change the tranny fluid every 30k or so.<br /><br />I also pull a 5-6k lb enclosed trailer a few miles each week. With that much weight, OD off to start with.
