Outdrive

Hi I have a volvo 270 outdrive and I am having raw water problems. I narrowed it down to the tube in the outdrive and I can't figure out how to get it out. I lowered the lower unit and I took the hose off the top of the tube and tried everything and just cannot get it out.

You removed and checked the fitting on the intermediate drive, the fitting right below the ujoint bellows? Those fittings and the seal beneath it are always suspect.

To remove the pivot tube you need to pull the entire drive and knock out the tube on a bench. This is your last resort IMO.
