I have a 2001 sylvan 196v sport with a 4.3 mercruiser motor in it but i don't know the outdrive model it is a mercruiser but i don't know if it is a alpha 1 or 2 any help would be greatly appreciated thank you

the serial number should be on the drive ,starboard side imprinted into the sticker with the stripes.
