Outdrive Painting

Hi everyone,

Im getting ready to repaint my Volvo Penta DP-SM (1999) per Volvo Pentas method. How many cans of the Volvo Penta Silver will I need to cover the entire drive (only drive unit, the Transom Plate and pivot housing are perfect) in 2 coats?

Also just to confirm a 1999 DP-SM is Silver not gray right?

I just coated my sx with a self etching primer and one can of volvo fact paint. We did two coats with one can. I sanded down some rough spots first with an air sander from Walmart that had different grit pads. Pads were 2" in diameter.
