outdrive id

i have purchased this boat that has no apparent id # on it . It has a chrysler slant 6 as a power plant with what i think is a volvo penta outdrive. I am trying to pinpoint what outdrive it is. All i have is the patent#2977.923 and this PZ NR 214450 number. can anyone help with model and year.the engine serial # is 109415. and if anyone can identify this boats make and year it shure would help

Volvo never used a Chrysler slant 6 that I am aware of, and I've been a Volvo tech for a lot of years. Might post some pictures of the drive and engine to start. The PZ number is too old to track down without a little help in year of boat or pictures.

That is old! I can't help with your id. Don or someone will chime is soon.... but I would suggest getting rid of the inline fuel filter. That's a safety concern.

That is an AQ200 outdrive. I did find the range of PZ numbers on the chart for both the 200 and the 250. I knew by looking it was one of them, but the numbers told the story.

Nothing for the engine, what kind of boat is it? I know Glastron used different engines attached to volvo drives.

That boat looks to be in real good shape for the age, and a slant 6 is the best engine I have ever owned. Ever! They just dont make engines like that anymore. That thing should last for a long time if it was taken care of...

thanks 4 the replies. but Don the aqwa200 download you sent has a power lift on it and mine dosen't other than that are they the same outdrives

The 200 has a mechanical lift, like pictures in the manual, Thanks to Don for the link.

It looks like you do not have one as it would be visable behind your starter, mounted in the flywheel cover. Do you have a plug in the hole? Its about a 3/4 inch hole on the port side of the flywheel cover.
