Have anyone mounted a outboard motor on the back of their boat just went out how hard it was and how much strength he had to do the transom and hook up the steering and a throttle

Several threads her on that, im not good at searching but it aint a slap and go proposition for sure but if it is your forever boat, id think it would be worth the effort.

Look at a similar year StarCraft with an outboard. Look to see how the transom is different

I personally would just swap to a 4.3

Are you talking about replacing the inboard with an outboard, or simply adding a kicker?

What is wrong with the 140 I /O ?? Loved mine, easy on fuel, repair parts are much cheaper and I could reach 40 plus mph. Outboards are more expensive to buy up front. To answer your question, it is a job !! Doable yes but needs to be done right!!
