Outboard spark plug wire replacement

In need of a little guidance... my outboard has been more difficult to start so I decided to replace the spark plugs since it's been a couple years, and while doing so I noticed the spark plug wires are very corroded. Rather than trying to clean them up I decided to replace them with new ones. The spark wires on the plug end are easy to remove, but the coil ends aren't nearly as cooperative. I'm hesitant to force them out for fear of tearing them apart and leaving crud inside.

My concern is how should I go about this without causing damage?
- Should I just yank out the old wire, or spray a little lubricant, like wd40, down the wire first?
- To install the new wire, should I put some dielectric grease on the wire insulation before installation,
and does the wire just push straight down and onto a wire prong?

My outboard is a 2007 Mercury 50 HP, model # 1050412FD, serial # 1B543316

As a follow up to my question, I finally found my answer, and wanted to post it here for anyone else that may need this info.

The spark plug wires literally need to be unscrewed from the coil end. The coil has a screw that connects and secures the spark plug wire. After removing the old wires, one at a time, I cut the new ones to match the length, put a little dielectric grease on the outside 1/2 inch, centered it and turned the wire around about 15 times onto the coil screw. Lefty loosey, righty tighty.

I have a 50hp 89force. Does the same apply to my coils as far as installing new plug wires?. IE screwing the wires in?
