I have a 97 wellcraft center console with a yamaha 130 hp outboard. I think I want to raise the motor 1 hole. I mounted it 2 months ago with 4000 silicone and new bolts/nuts. The bottom bolts are in a slotted section on the motor bracket. Think I'll be ok just loosening the nuts (the nuts are on the outside of the transom) rather not have to pull the bolts out and clean/ re silicone them. Upper bolts are not a problem they are exposed near the top of the transom. Thanks

That is the purpose of the slots in the lower part of the transom clamp. However, you still need to make sure the bolts are sealed to the transom. I would therefore recommend you loosen the nuts on the bottom bolts and remove the upper bolts. As you lift the engine, put some silicone on any part of the lower bolts that looks like it needs it.
