Water Cooled Engines tend to run a lot Cooler than Air Cooled Engines, and that is why the TCW Oils were developed. TCW in an Air Cooled engine usually isn't a Good Choice. I like smoky Oils as they help keep the Skeeters away. The Pennzoil TCW3 that I have used for decades states it can be used for all two stroke engines, both water and aircooled. Never knew there was a different oil for air cooled !! Never had an engine issue and the Pennzoil gives far less smoke than other brands!!
