Hi,

I have a 13 foot Boston Whaler with a 25 horse Honda 4 stroke on it with hydraulic steering and engine tilt. It is a rather heavy motor and I strictly trailer it (She gets the garage when not in use). I was thinking I should get a boat motor support bar to save the transom and hydrolics. I bought a common type of support but couldn't figure out how to put it on.

These are what I think I need but I don't know which one would work with my set up.

Here's my boat.

Can anyone help me with what kind I need?

Thank you in advance.

Re: Outboard Boat Motor Support.

I have a 16 foot Crestliner with a 40 merc, 2004 and I use the swivel-eze which works great. No bounce of the boat or motor and saves the hydralic lifts. Hope it helps. Alittle cheaper and adjustable. :)

I had a swivel-eze type and It didn't work. It doesn't reach the trailer underneath. If you look at the picture I posted you'll see what I'm talking about.

Re: Outboard Boat Motor Support.

Are these supports really that necessary?

I have a 16 footer with a 50HP and have towed it for the past 3 years without one. I have only been told once I should get one.

Is damage really happening to my transom without one of these?
