bought a 79 omc 800 outdrive needs a impeller need to find a dealer in the st.louis area to fix i found out after i bought it that they are a pain hate to sell boat because of it can anybody help?

Sierra Supply (NAPA) part number: 18-3286 or 18-3386 with housing (usually needed). Around $50 without housing

Gonna' be easier to get a manual, the parts and learn to do yourself. OMC mechanics are pretty hard to come by.

if i get a manual is it as hard as they say it is and do i need any special tools besides the basic ones

if you want to find a local dealer that works on omc, try the phone book -
some of the best omc stringer techs don't spend a whole lot of time on the internet.
