Hey all! I bought this ole boat about a year ago and have had some great time in it, but some soft spots have developed in the floor. I'm getting ready to start attempting to re structure the floor but I'm honestly unsure. Can I just start at the weak point and work my way out till I find good wood? Or is it necessary to redo the entire floor ? It seems the previous owner simply painted the original floor with boat pain mixed with play sand. I feel like I should be able to simply sand down to original wood and go from their. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Remember, the floor is the last thing to rot, long after the transom and stringers.

Be prepared for a full gut and rehab.

Start be removing the motor and interior, and fire up the saws.

If you are un sure as to what to do. Go to the stickies at the top of the forum and go to links 14, 15, 18, 2, 3, 4a, and 4b in that order. Look at every picture and video

look at the forum on a computer (much easier to navigate than on a phone). look at the top of every forum are threads that are permenantly stuck and have a what looks like a little post-it note preceeding them. these are the stickies. this forum has four. the last sticky being this one

and stop posting in old threads. its against the rules you agreed to when you signed up.
