Orthopedic Fiberglass in Boat Building?

Sounds crazy to me but I talked to an Orthopedic surgeon today and he said that he uses cast making fiberglass on his sailboat. Of course I though it was extremely funny be he was serious. No resin needed all you do is get it wet and and let it dry and it's as strong as any other fiberglass. He said it was for small repairs and making pieces easily.

Is this possible? I would think one would have a hard time with adhesion, but on small non structual parts I guess I could see it working? I'm sure it's twice as expensive or even 3x as normal glass.

Sounds like C-Flex:View attachment C-Flex.pdf

Yes expensive, and probably also sold in large units. How much glass comes in a Femur cast setup? Not enough to do a transom. Maybe a full body cast kit? :watermelon:
