ordering parts for 1986 8hp Evinrude

I have a 1986 8hp Evinrude (model E8RLCDE) I want to use on my Macgregor 25 sailboat.

All I have read says that I should change the impeller (condition unknown) but apparently I have to know the Evinrude part number to order the correct one. Where do I find this number?

Also, I'm a bit nervous about the impeller replacement process. Is it really necessary? What's the best manual to walk me through it?

Iboats list the impeller for your motor as Evinrude 8hp (2-Stroke)

1986-1997

18-3091 Sierra part #

9-45214 Mallory part #

Manual for your motor can be bought here on Iboats, but a OME manual is the best. JMO
