!BUT!

When the time comes and that hitch does fall off
Pep-boys is a corporation with plenty of money and insurance to back up there claims.
If something did happen to a hitch they installed, they have the backing to back you.

yep!, but... if your trailer comes off and kills someone, the family of the deceased isn't going after whoever installed your hitch, they are going after you. And after the dust settles from that lawsuit, you get to figure out how to get anything from a multi-national company with a team of lawyers on their side.

Read through one of those U-haul legal documents you have to sign, they pretty much absolve themselves from anything remotely resembling responsibility! I have to imagine there is a similar document when a hitch install is done.

I'm getting ready to install a hitch on a 1999 Suburban. I need the bolt leaders used to fish the bolt thru the frame. Does anyone know of a local outfit that would carry them. I found one online sight that has them but it would take a week for the them to get here. I have tried all the big boxes and they don't carry them. I really need them before I can get started.

Welcome to I-boats. You really should start your own thread with your question. I'm not upset or anything but it really is bad form to ask your question in someone else' thread.

I just popped the cherry on the new tow hitch. The Quest tows better than our old Escape did. The Quest is wider so I can't see the trailer very well from my side view mirrors. The added hp and torque is evident.

I have a 2" rise on the hitch right now and I can see that I am going to want to return the draw bar for at least a 4" rise.

The chains are literally 1" off the ground. Other than crossing them an additional 10 times I may have to remove a few links to get the slack to sit up higher.

All these engineers designing these hitches need to do some more R and D. Those T hook holes are there for a reason. To TOW a vehicle, not run bolts through. Royal PITA sometimes when factory tow hooks are compromised.
