I have begun after a long winter..and part of spring..,,Removed cap..and started in on the floor..removed all cardboard flotation..removed all rotten stringers, and cross members..I was only able to salvage 1 cross member..what a friggin mess...I then tackled the transom..cut out the skin from the inside..started to work away at it..I was making real nice progress..but the wood is so saturated at the bottomof the transom it is swelled putting alot of pressure against the 3" sections i left of the transom. .. I am having a terrible time getting out the corner pieces and the very bottom. I have tried chisels a 3/4 inch wood bit, a circular saw, screwdrivers..etc.. and then...i cut threw the side of the transom corner with the chisel.Epoxy will fix this..should I also use Biax to patch tear or only epoxy?..I know this will take time but does anyone have a suggestion at how to work this swollen wood out?..(Im thinking its just going to take patience..and time)
