I have replaced impellor on Evinrude 25 hp twice. Long story short, it still didn't pee, so I have it apart now and did a couple tests to make sure all paths were clear. I have also installed new thermostat. After viewing videos of flow is there anything anybody can think of that would cause it not to pee? I just want to be sure before I reinstall lower unit.
Youtube link to videos:
I Submerged unit into a tub of water and ran with Dewalt electric drill and got a stream as in video. I also used a manual siphon pump attached to a hose from water jug to unit tube and got a nice stream from that.

If the hose pushed water out ? Should be O K.
I will go forward and reinstall. I did not devise these tests the last time I had it apart. I just did visual inspection and cleaned well. Also use air hose to blow up the tube. Well here goes nothing. I will let you know how it goes Thanks

Are you running in a barrel or on muffs?
If in a barrel is the water well above the pump level? Pumps are not self priming water needs to be well above the pump.

First video is labeled private. Remake that video.

Your hand pump might pump more velocity than your impeller so not sure if that test proves anything. Grommet, gasket, cracked block could be issues but usually it's something dumb.

It is in a test bucket. Well above impellor.

not sure how to change it. I had hoped link to YouTube would suffice. I can't seem to get anything to upload. I ran hose to the exit nipple at top of motor that attaches to the hose that diverts water out of engine. Pumped water and had a steady stream from the little hole above the impellor housing area. Basically trying to confirm no blockages. I had thought the same about the pressure being more than impellor which could explain why after putting it back together again it still doesn't pee. Motor runs very well and compression tests are very good, so I don't feel it would be cracked block. I amd going to take apart one more time and replace the impellor again.

Videos work. Everything seems to be in order...only thing I can think of is either your not lining it up correctly or the seal on the top of the pump is missing or wore out.

Did copper tube come out attached to the water pump ?-----If so, it must be installed before lower unit can be installed.

Due to Tropical storm Debby here in my area of Florida, I have gotten back to repair. As we basically determined that the problem is lack of pressure, I located the problem. Please excuse this old fool for forgetting about an important thing that I caused. The first time I replaced impellor and put lower unit back on, I ignored warning as to not use bolts to tighten up. As a result, I found that I scrunched up water tube just enough to not seat properly in the next times I took apart and reinstalled. I measured and got it back into shape and, sure enough now it pees. I am 72 yrs old and have COPD and poor eyesight and have to do everything myself making things difficult sometimes

My updated post will address that thought. They don't make it easy for one person, yet alone me. All in all, problem originated from that procedure in the first place.
