I loved the first 2 episodes I watched of the show, on the 3rd I thought something was funny so I looked it up... it's fake. It's all "reenactments" of "actual repos"...

is it really fake? i'll admit i watch it pretty often. sometimes it seems like it might be but does anyone really have proof that it is?

well, the only *somewhat* proof is that before some of the episodes there is a disclaimer that it is reinactments of events. oh, and matt, the big bald white guy is a professional actor... http://bigmattburch.com/

What a load of ****. I've always wondered why these people don't call the cops on them & some of them aren't in prison. In CA you if you make it out to your vehicle you can legally prevent the repo guy from taking the vehicle. If some repo guy came to my place like they do they'd be picking bb's out for a few weeks.

I worked for a tow truck company many many years ago. Did one repo and actually it was near TV quality. Bodyguard, barrister, yelling screaming customer....pretty exciting for a 20 year old. More exciting than that was 'stealing cars' at rush hour. Now almost 20 years later I can't help but think I was a little doink.

of course there's the other option of paying your bills so the repo man doesn't have to come for his property. after all it's not your's if you haven't paid for it.

Really? That's an option? Thanks captain obvious. By the way, it's not his property- it's whoever holds the title. The repo is more of a collection agent.

I liked the show when I thought it was real. Everyone is an actor and everything is staged.. I wanta see some real face slappin, some real neck grabbin, some real crying and cussin.. I wanta see some real tears when they take some guys car.....

I've done a few repos, its never fun.. You get the crying woman with a bunch of kids seeing her car being loaded on a flat bed. Having to deal with angry people that carry guns, at the time we were alowed to carry a gun too. One guy blocked the vehicle in with other cars and shot at the tow truck. We came back later that night when he was off drinking moved the cars and got it. What a lot of people dont know in the repo business is there like private investiagators they scope you out find out times your home, when you leave what other vehicles you have. They can scout and find the best time to nab the car. Been there done that dont want to do it again.
