I just put in 2 new deep cycle batteries for my trolling motor. I plugged in the onboard charger to ensure the batteries are fully charged. One bank is green the other blinking green/orange. Can someone tell me what the problem is? I've checked the connections twice and they are correct.

Don't know which it is so looking at the 10A 2 bank manual, it could be the charger or the Battery. Swap the leads between the Bats and see if it starts flashing on the other one

I assume you mean the 2 sets of leads from the charger to each battery right?

OK I'll try that and get back with you later. Again thanks alldodge for your help.
Well I plugged the charger back in to make sure I knew which bank was flashing green/orange before I switched the leads. Now both banks are solid green. I also tested both new batteries and they are both around 13 volts and around 12 with a load test. So if I have the same problem again I think I can assume it's the charger?

Not 100%, could be either. Most likely it's the charger, but swapping leads can verify
Ok I will do that if this happens again. As I said I just bought the batteries and they have a 2 year warranty so I'm covered there. If it turns out to be the charger I will have to have someone change it out sad I'm sure I can't do that. Thanks again for your help and the welcome to the forum.

Not sure about your charger but my dad had a charger that blinked green and red when it was 80% charged

Also, you'll want to make sure that the battery posts where the charger leads are connected are shiny clean. You might just be getting a poor connection.

^^agree
I should have mentioned that just because it's flashing, might not be an actual problem with charging

Most chargers will now show amount of power with solid green dots.
Then show flashing light for the balance to reach 100 %.
