OMS return to sevice

Hello, I have a 96 Johnson 90 hp 90 degree. The oms has been disconnected, and plugged off since 2001. I would like to return it to service. My question is, has the pump, operating with the lines plugged, caused damage? Thanks

The pump can be put back in service, but make sure everything from cleaning the tank and filter, checking the hose and connections, plus testing the pump oil flow and the alarm system, is checked out before using it. The factory service manual has all the info you need to do the job correctly.

Keep running 50:1 until you see the oil level go down in the tank.<br />DHP
