I got a chance to get a 1992 omc 2.3l and cobra out drive for$700 My 87 3.0l and out drive is toast. Can this swap happen or will there be issues with this? What do you think?

Ayuh,.... Sorry man, but that's goin' from the fryin' pan,.... Directly into the Fire....

The 2.3l is unique, 'n completely Unsupported for parts...

Wait he said it was a 2.5l does that help?

Ayuh,... I think the 2.5l is a 70s something motor, 'n ran on the Stringer drive....

I'm going to go look at it and see but will the outdtive interchange? He said we could go for a water test.

Nope,... I believe the 2.3l, 'n the 3.0l use slightly different drives...
'n the 2.5l would be a Stringer, which is Way different than yer's....
