I bought a 1976 grew with 120hp 2.5L OMC Stringer outdrive I had bearings let go inside the upper ballgear housing on the outdrive. Does anybody know where I might be able to find parts cheap for this outdrive. I am in Ontario I need either the top end or a complete outdrive

Welcome aboard!

Do a quick CraigsList search too. You may find a "just needs some TLC" boat that has your drive line, and you can scavange what you need and sell/junk the rest.

I would suggest checking ebay or going to this site: sterndrive.info. These guys are in Toronto.

Thankyou guys. Would it b worthwhile rebuilding this out drvie if I can get the guts out. Right now I can't get the bottom gears out of the housing.
