Omc cobra out drive cable replacenment

Hi all, I am in the UK and have a problem with my out drive I have seemed to isolate my gear selector problem to the gear selector cable but now the question is how to replace it? If some one can point me in the right direction as to where I can get information on how to replace this cable :cool:..........and do I need to take off my out drive?:confused:

OMC made a lot of different outdrives. Year and model will help narrow it down.
