OMC 800 upper/intermediate threads stripped! ugh!

So, the two starbord side threads that hold the bolts that secure the upper gearcase to the intermediate housing are stripped. Is a helicoil a possible repair? Any other "been there"s out there?

been there, done that!!!! I drilled and helicoiled mine. I went ahead and did them all...just make sure they are drilled straight.
