Bob,

We have been having problems with getting the revs up on the boat. The most the boat will rev to is 3200 RPM, and there doesn't seem to be a carb problem. We're trying to lighten up the load on the engine, so hopefully a smaller pitch will do that. Any ideas on the 11"?
I think you are going the wrong way.A 14x17 will get your rpms higher and be easier on the motor.to use a 15x11 would be making the motor work harder and the rpms and speed will go down.Sounds like a houseboat prop is what you are looking for and I would strongly recommend against it.If you did find the prop, the moment you put the boat in gear it will jump.Charlie
Well...I searched a couple of prop sites but they don't even list a 15x11, maybe you could give us a few more details about your problem, what kind of boat, size and weight? What size prop are you running now? A 5.7 should be in the 4200-4400 range at WOT so you are very low, are you sure about your tach, have you tried a portable one to be sure?
Hey bob, you may be able to get your existing prop re-pitched at a prop shop to that pitch.Perhaps you should find out why your only reaching 3200 with the recomended prop before you spend 200$ to get this done.

Jim
Your engine has a 4 barrel carb. Are you sure it operating properly and the secondaries are opening? Depending of gear ratio of coarse, you normally need a pretty big boat to require a prop less than 17"
