I have my first boat a 1981 rinker with a 3.8 motor and 800 drive the question is the hose that comes from the housing that is attached to the rubber boots from the exhaust manifolds has a water output from the lower ciculating pump. I took the hose off started the engine at an idle the flow was low and when the engine was throttled up the flow did not increase.
does it have to be in gear for that pump to work or is this signs of a bad circulation pump?
