OMC 2.5 engine, Rochestor 2GC carburetor, starts but won't idle.

Hi, I have an OMC 2.5 engine, Rochestor 2GC carburetor that will start if I give it a lot of gas, but it won't idle. I can keep it running by pumping the gas, but as soon as I back off it will die... any hints on what I can do?

Had a similar issue. Thought it was fuel related but turned out to be a distributor issue.
Had new distributor installed and installed new fuel filter and she runs fine at idle and top speed.

My guess is, ya need a new Carb...

Ya might try rebuildin' that 1....
