OMC 2.3 No power to coil

My 89 Four Winns 2.3 fires with starter engaged but quits when key is returned to "Run" position. Accessories, tilt, etc. are fine. Plugs look fine, but with ignition switch in "Run" position there is no current at the coil.

Do I have a bad ignition switch? Am I missing a fuse somewhere (only fuse except the main I see on the wiring diagram seems to be on input side)?

Any suggestions appreciated!

Check to see if your man overboard switch is engaged properly. If it is, it could be your ignition switch.

Bruce,
You are spot on. Resistance check on overboard switch showed it to be open. A couple of diddles closed the switch & engine fired right up. Thanks!
