omc 175 impellor direction

hi just wondering if someone knows ,the way that the fins should be when looking at the impellor in the housing , i believe the verticle shaft runs clockwise? and i would think the fins should trail ?

While inserting the impeller into the housing, turn it counter-clockwise. The tips of the fins will be pointing to the right (clockwise).

thanks for the response, so to recap the direction of rotation on the waterpump shaft would be clockwise and the fins would also be pointing in the same direction??

No the fins should be trailing as you stated.

that seems like it would make sense, less chance of breaking off a fin. there was just no instalation instructions with the kit
