older model 35 hp chrysler

im working on trying to get spark for the igition and need to know on the key switch what the two wires marked "MAG" are supposed to do? are they hot with the key on? or ground? im not getting any voltage to the points or the two wires marked MAG on the ignition switch. got any ideas?

Are they labeled mag or M. Do you have a battery ignition or a magneto ignition? What color wires are going to these positions on the switch?
