Older Johnson Seahorse

Just got running an old seahorse but need a prop. No model # can be found. Only have serial no. 583738. It is a force up cooling. Had a hand written tag that said, 1947 ka-15, 10hp. Any idea what I have here, or where to get parts and info.

Yup, a moose Johnson from the 40's. Restored a KD-15 once. You can get an owners manual on CD from Acme Outboards dot com. Sweet motors, but very heavy for not much hp....very reliable though, and they never wear out unless you use them as an anchor.

S/N 583738 makes it a 1947 9.8 hp.
