OLD YAMAHA 25hp 2 STROKE

Hi all i have a i think 1983 yamaha 25hp that was bought from Papua New Guinia and its a 2 stroke pull start.

My Question is can you attach a starter? or run an alternator off the engine as i want to attach lights, battery etc to the boat?

You CAN retrofit it but it would cost a lot of money as you need to add a charge coil, rectifier, starter, relay, wires and battery - far more than what it is worth - Bob
